Thanksgiving not just a Holiday!

ThanksGivingThanksgiving is also an attitude

Thanksgiving holiday has gone and past this year. We spent the week with our son and 3 grandchildren in Nebraska. All in all it was a wonderful time and a lot to be thankful for. Our son had recently went through a divorce, which left them without someone to dote over them.

During the Thanksgiving meal our daughter called to say Happy Thanksgiving to him and the kids. While he was talking, the speaker was on so we all heard the conversation. It was amazing that he told her that mom loved him more than her. That really surprised me because I try not to show favoritism toward any of the 4 children.

Since his divorce I found out that their main meal was pizza, no surprise. So I ordered food that he could cook in a crock pot to make it easier, since he works nights. I had done this twice and decided I would give the daughter some too! At the end of his comment that I loved him more she piped in and said but she sent me steaks. I had to inform him again that we had visited her the month before.

this made me start to think

After the week was over and headed back home, I started to think about “Does God (our father, our Abba) does He show favoritism”? He sent His only son to die for ALL of us. That is Jew and Gentile. No matter what country you live in or if you are male or female. He LOVES us all. What a reason to give Thanks  to Him alone.
