Holiness In Pursuit of / weeks 1 – 3 and more . . .

holiness

Holiness, what can I say. We all need it but it seems that it might be hard to obtain. So after staring the blog many thoughts have come to mind. How did I really want 2016 to begin or what did I want to change or improve upon. While in Church we sang a song that spoke volumes to me and put me on a path to spend more time with my best friend and savior. The song is a very old one but the words are so profound.

Take time to be holy

Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
Make friends of God’s children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.
Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.
Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide;
And run not before Him, whatever betide.
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word.
Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each motive beneath His control.
Thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted for service above.

Ephesians 1:4 AKJV according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

1 Peter 1:15-16 AJKV but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
After much prayer and listening to the G_d, I have redirected my thoughts on what to talk about with you. The topic of Holiness has many wanting for more. He is so thrilled that many of you want this more in your lives. Each week I will publish what He has laid on my heart, be it a word of prophecy or a discussion on His word.

My hopes and prayers is that this will bring you into a better relationship with Him.

Is God calling you???

holiness,phone,spiritual
Are you being called by the Lord into a higher level in your relationship of holiness? This might seem stranger to some and others old hat, when you are awaken in the hour of three a.m. you are receiving a call from Him. When this happens, your response should be here I am your servant, what would you like me to do. In these times when He has called upon myself I find He uses me to pray (intercede) for others, to call someone, or drive to until He says stop. At other times He has transported me spiritually to someones bed side for prayer or a word of encouragement. Then there are times that He just downloads things that are going to happen to others and the physical world. When He communicate in this manner His voice is the clearest.

If you haven’t been awaken or you were and just rolled over and went back to sleep, try calling to Him and He will answer. Please leave a comment how He has used you. If you do not want this public, please indicate.

Jeremiah 33 (NLV)

2 “This is what the Lord says Who made the earth. The Lord made it to last. The Lord is His name. 3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you. And I will show you great and wonderful things which you do not know.’

Is all your armor in place????

To some this is old and you already do this, but for others who are new to the faith this is very instructional.

This past week I’ve had many confirmation on what needs to be said up front. Holiness can be pursued in two manners: 1) is not what is my intention, which is through legalism, 2) what we will try to (not by works) accomplish, which is a personal relationship with Him.

In the past when I have sought Him with all my heart, I find the adversary has captured my thoughts or bring in a situation or obstacle in which I can not completely focus on Him. Now, before I get up in the morning I begin my day by putting on the FULL ARMOR OF G_D.

You are His solider and it would be the most appropriate thing to do is to protect yourself from the enemy. Of course, if you want to praise Him first that is alright too! You see there is no complete formula to getting closer to Him. We serve an AWESOME G_D! He loves us, and desires us to pursue Him.

If you find you feel you do not have time to do this in the morning, may I suggest that you set your alarm 10 to 15 minutes before you normally get up. After a week or so (7 to 10 days) your body will automatically wake up. Soon this will become a good habit and you will find your day goes allot better.

Exercise 1 is also a good way to get closer. You will find the exercises on the right side bar or CLICK here.

Things G_d Gives the Christian to Fight With

Ephesians 6: 10 – 17

New Life Version

10 This is the last thing I want to say: Be strong with the Lord’s strength. 11 Put on the things God gives you to fight with. Then you will not fall into the traps of the devil. 12 Our fight is not with people. It is against the leaders and the powers and the spirits of darkness in this world. It is against the demon world that works in the heavens. 13 Because of this, put on all the things God gives you to fight with. Then you will be able to stand in that sinful day. When it is all over, you will still be standing. 14 So stand up and do not be moved. Wear a belt of truth around your body. Wear a piece of iron over your chest which is being right with God. 15 Wear shoes on your feet which are the Good News of peace. 16 Most important of all, you need a covering of faith in front of you. This is to put out the fire-arrows of the devil. 17 The covering for your head is that you have been saved from the punishment of sin. Take the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

King James Version

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The Dreadful Days before His Return

Many of you have asked me to pray and reveal what G_D has said about End Times. Last night for around three hours He gave me a major download. This is what He gave me and what I am given permission to give.

Some believe we are in the last of days, others believe that there will be specific signs that will show the beginning of things, while others could care less about this subject.

What He showed me was to the letter what was revealed to Daniel, Peter, Paul, John and Jesus. His word is true. Many argue over the smallest of things: Pre, Mid, Post Tribulation (I have always prayed for the Pre, but I am preparing for the Post).

This is what He said to me;

  • The world does not need another voice on this subject, there is my word that tells all you need to know.
  • Do not fear, all these things must come to past.
  • There will be trials for my chosen, so that I can purify them.
  • Purify yourself daily (ask of me to show you the areas you need to be purify, this will be easier than the trials).
  • Memorize scripture especially my promises, you will need this when it looks like there is no hope.
  • Keep yourself HUMBLED before me.
  • Keep the faith for I will look for your measure.
  • Keep my commandments.
  • Forgive each other, wether or not you know of any grievous.
  • Be ready at all times (for no man know the hour of my return).
  • Be of good cheer, for I am coming back for my pure and spotless BRIDE.

If you find yourself lacking in any of these areas, ask the Holy Spirit to breath on your faith to increase your faith for what you will need. Ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse you , to led you, and forgive you of your unbelief. Ask G_D to renew you love for him. Thank Him for His grace and forgiveness.

There is so many scriptures for all of this, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal them to you and bring clarity to your mind.

PROMISES OF GOD

This particular study comes from BibleStudyTools.com. I have placed the scriptures so you do not have to look them up. When you click on the blue lettering of the scripture it will take you to the full chapter of that reference. When I do a study I like to read the full context. Happy studying.

  • Contained in the Scriptures

Romans 1:2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures

  • Made in Christ

Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,

  • MADE TO

Christ

Galatians 3:16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.

Galatians 3:19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator.

Abraham

Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

Genesis 12:7 The LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

Galatians 3:16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.

Isaac

Genesis 26:3-4 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed,

Jacob

Genesis 28:14 Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.

David

2 Samuel 7:12 When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom.

Psalms 89:3-4 You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant, 4 ‘I will establish your line forever and make your throne firm through all generations.’ ”

Psalms 89:3536 Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness— and I will not lie to David—36 that his line will continue forever and his throne endure before me like the sun;

The Israelites

Romans 9:4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.

The Fathers

Acts 13:32-35 32 “We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors 33 he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: “ ‘You are my son; today I have become your father.’ 34 God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, “ ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’ 35 So it is also stated elsewhere: “ ‘You will not let your holy one see decay.’

Acts 26:67 And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our ancestors that I am on trial today. 7 This is the promise our twelve tribes are hoping to see fulfilled as they earnestly serve God day and night. King Agrippa, it is because of this hope that these Jews are accusing me.

All who are called of God

Acts 2:39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Those who love him

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 2:5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

  • Confirmed by an oath and Covenant established upon

Psalms 89:3-4 You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant, ‘I will establish your line forever and make your throne firm through all generations.’ ”

Hebrews 8:6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.

  • God is faithful to

Titus 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

  • God remembers

Psalms 105:42 For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.

Luke 1:54-55 He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”

  • ARE

Good

1 Kings 8:56 “Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

Holy

Psalms 105:42 For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.

Exceeding great and precious

2 Peter 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

Confirmed in Christ

Romans 15:8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed

Yea and amen in Christ

2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Fulfilled in Christ

Acts 13:23 “From this man’s descendants God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as he promised.

Luke 1:69-73 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us— to show mercy to our ancestors and to remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham:

Through the righteousness of faith

Romans 4:13&16 It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. 16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

Obtained through faith

Hebrews 11:33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions,

Given to those who believe

Galatians 3:22 But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

Inherited through faith and patience

Hebrews 6:12 & 15; 10:36 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Performed in due season

Jeremiah 33:14 “ ‘The days are coming,’ declares the LORD, ‘when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah.

Acts 7:17 “As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt had greatly increased.

Galatians 4:4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

  • Not one shall fail

Joshua 23:14 “Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the LORD your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.

1 Kings 8:56 “Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

  • The law not against

Galatians 3:21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.

  • The law could not disannul

Galatians 3:17 What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise.

  • SUBJECTS OF

    Christ

2 Samuel 7:12 & 13 When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Acts 13:22 & 23 After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’ “From this man’s descendants God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as he promised

The Holy Spirit

Acts 2:33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

The gospel

Romans 1:1&2 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God—2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures

Life in Christ

2 Timothy 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,

A crown of life

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Eternal life

Titus 1:2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

1 John 2:25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.

The life that now is

1 Timothy 4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Adoption

2 Corinthians 6:18 ; 7:1 18 And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 1 Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

Preservation in affliction and Forgiveness of sins

Isaiah 43:2 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Blessing

Deuteronomy 1:11 May the LORD, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised!

Forgiveness of sins

Hebrews 8:12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Putting the law into the heart

Jeremiah 31:33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Hebrews 8:10 This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Second coming of Christ

2 Peter 3:4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”New heavens and earth

2 Peter 3:13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

Entering into rest

Joshua 22:4 Now that the LORD your God has given them rest as he promised, return to your homes in the land that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side of the Jordan.

Hebrews 4:1 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

  • Should lead to perfecting holiness

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

  • The inheritance of the saints is of

Romans 4:13 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.

Galatians 3:18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

    • SAINTS

      Children of

Romans 9:8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.

Galatians 4:28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.

Heirs of

Galatians 3:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.Hebrews 6:17 ; 11:9 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.

Stagger not at

span style=”color: #00ccff;”>Romans 4:20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

Have implicit confidence in

Hebrews 11:11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.Expect the performance of

Luke 1:38 & 45 38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”
<
2 Peter 3:13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

Sometimes, through infirmity, tempted to doubt

Psalms 77:8-10 8 Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? 9 Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?” 10 Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.

Plead in prayer

Genesis 32:9-12 Then Jacob prayed, “O God of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, LORD, you who said to me, ‘Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,’ 10 I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan, but now I have become two camps. 11 Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am afraid he will come and attack me, and also the mothers with their children. 12 But you have said, ‘I will surely make you prosper and will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.’ ”

1 Chronicles 17:23-26 “And now, LORD, let the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house be established forever. Do as you promised, 24 so that it will be established and that your name will be great forever. Then people will say, ‘The LORD Almighty, the God over Israel, is Israel’s God!’ And the house of your servant David will be established before you. 25 “You, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him. So your servant has found courage to pray to you. 26 You, LORD, are God! You have promised these good things to your servant.

Isaiah 43:26 Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence.

    • Should wait for the performance of

Acts 1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

  • Gentiles shall be partakers of

Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

  • Man, by nature, has no interest in

Ephesians 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

  • Scoffers despise

2 Peter 3:3-4 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

Fear, lest ye come short of

Hebrews 4:1 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

His first stories “TURN TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT” is a confirmation of some of the ways G_D can use you. Either in a receiver position of His word or a giver position. He (David) being the receiver and I as the giver in this true account in the story.
