As a seer one see their surroundings either in Black or White. Thus being a seer this is a gifting in which God has given one, can God be wrong in giving this gifting? Or does one have too use this gifting to understand how God feels about our surroundings?
This past six months I’ve been studying End Times and End Times events. While in this study I’ve been calling out to the Lord to come back soon. Sometimes He answers directly and others He gives us His examples in real life. This one was in Real Life.
A new pastor’s wife wanted to give a women conference in their church. I agreed it was a good thing and I would help. We spread the word of the conference to the other churches in the area, advertised on Facebook, handed out flyers. The conference was free, all the ladies had to do is r.s.v.p. and bring a sack lunch. As the date came around and with a head count I prepared a morning breakfast to start the conference off (the attendees had no knowledge of the breakfast). The pastor’s wife asked if she could save their breakfast for lunch since they were at the church seating up for the conference. After breakfast we all went into the meeting hall to watch the telecast that the pastor’s wife had paid for while at their previous church. After the first lesson was over we broke for lunch. There were twelve of us and not even half had brought their lunch. You are probable thinking so what allot of people might not have been hungry or they don’t eat lunch, but this was not the case. They went back into the kitchen and eat the food that was brought for their surprise morning breakfast. After lunch I left the church, I have to confess, I was very disheartened.
During the night the Lord showed me how the church is not prepared for His returned. Most christians are relying on someone else to supply their needs. Just like the parable He told of the ten virgins we find in Matthew 25: 1-13.
The Parable of the Ten Virgins
1. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
When the Lord told me that the ratio that had not prepared for the conference is also the same ration that have not prepared for His return. This is not about food, it was about their character and true relationship with HIM.
My question to you is the same one He asked me are you really prepared for His return? Before you answer YES, I want you to really think about that preparedness. Oil is a small thing same as a sack lunch. Are we over looking the small things and justifying in our own minds well He is Love and Grace and He will forgive me of this small thing and let me slide into His Kingdom. You might feel like you do big and grand things for Him. But what if He says; Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
he values your character and integrity more than He values your gift
During the maturing process He takes us through a conversion of developing a greater character and integrity in each one to enable fruitful service. Gifting is to used only to help others. Character development can be the single greatest enhancer of our gift. Likewise, the lack of character is the greatest hindrance to our gift. Character development takes time, and our gift development takes time, it also encompasses our whole life. He is looking for men and women with character equal to, or greater than their gift. If He has promised you, He will prepare you to receive by intentionally allowing situations to arise in your life that are designed to develop your character and integrity.
You might think I’m mad and this is too personal to be shared. If we do not learn from others what is acceptable in our circle of influence and know what is expected from others, how else do we express our feelings. I am neither mad or angry at my fellow believers. Just disappointed in their spiritual level, and do not know another way to tell them I still Love them but not where they are at.
Remember Forgive and LOVE
